What a Mug!
It isn’t uncommon for people to like to drink beer out of a mug. At a bar or restaurant you can get it off tap in an ice cold mug. They are very sturdy with a handle so you don’t accidentally let it drop from your hand. Beer glasses can get wet as they come to room temperature but a mug is more secure due to that handle in place.
You will find beer mugs available in many sizes. Some of them are wider so they hold more beer. Yet don’t let those tall ones fool you because they are skinny. They can still hold quite a bit of beer in them. Some beer mugs are fun too such as those that look like mason jars or that are shaped like a cowboy boot.
If you like to drink beer at home you can also buy beer mugs to use there. Look for those made of heavy duty glass so they won’t chip or break as easily. You can store them in the cabinet buy you may want to keep them in the freezer. This way you can always enjoy an ice cold beer when you want to.
Most beer mugs are sold in sets of four or six. You can also buy some single ones but they will cost you more per unit. Some bars also sale beer mugs with their logos and business information on them. If you have a favorite bar you should get a set of them. You can also get them with the logo for your favorite type of beer as well.
There are some online sites where you can get personalized beer mugs. You may want to put your wedding date on them our a fun saying such as Up all Night, Sleep all Day which is a very common party slogan. Perhaps you want to put the name of your local college team on it or even your name so no one else is accidentally picking up your beer when you are drinking among friends.
For something more elaborate you can also purchase German beer mugs known as steins. These are hand carved mugs that are even sought after by collectors. They date back more than a hundred years and new ones are released all the time. You will certainly have no trouble finding some beer steins in this fashion that you can display or that you can drink your favorite beer out of.
