Cecil T. Wulfe – Drinks and Druthers

Cecil T. Wulfe is a consultant with clients across the US. His work keeps him busy and he prefers to travel by car. He drives a 1963 Lincoln Continental (the Kennedy Continental) which is a joy but also expensive to maintain. This keeps him staying off the expressways and close to towns where he can get repairs. 

He finds himself in out of the way towns as well as in big cities with long evenings to himself. He entertains himself by visiting local bars, ordering whatever the bartender considers to be the most popular drink in the house, then identifying the last person to order that drink. His observations about the person he finds are sometimes insightful, sometimes funny, and probably most often completely wrong. Regardless – he usually leaves the bar after making a new friend of the barkeeper.
