Is There a Perfect Manhattan? Woodford Reserve Thinks So

The Woodford Reserve Manhattan Experience, an event about… (well just read the first words again) just went through a grueling contest to determine what and who makes the perfect Manhattan. Of course the even was held in Manhattan and all came down to 6 finalists who shook up their own recipes. Our friend Chris Morris – Master Distiller at Woodford Reserve was on hand to congratulate the winner. 

30 Regional winners competed across the US and the final match was held at the Bowery Hotel.  Allison Widdecombe of Denver took the prize. We wish we had been there to help select the prize winner.

But I guess we will need to hold our own contest. In fairness I’d probably do a more horizontal competition with a variety of bourbon brands. Regardless, I’m sure it was a great event. Maybe next year.
