The Most Beer-Loving Countries Around the World

The beginning of October brings with it images of falling leaves, warm drinks and pumpkin-carving. But many adults look forward to the month for a very particular reason: beer. Cities around the world ring in the height of fall by hosting their own Oktoberfests, mirrored after the longstanding German festival.

Though countries wait until the fall to pay tribute to beer, there are some that celebrate it year-round. But which one reigns above all others as the most beer-loving country?

Using data from the World Health Organization, HealthGrove crunched the numbers to find the percentage of total alcohol consumption that constitutes beer in every country. They used the most recent data from 2010.
